Dr Isakow was born in South Africa and graduated  with distinction from the Medical School of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.

He specialised at Washington University in St Louis, Missouri, United States, an institution which is world renowned for its care of patients with lung disease.

After specialization, he joined the Pulmonary Faculty at Washington University in St Louis and became director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Barnes Jewish Hospital, achieving the rank of Associate Professor of Medicine. He is a member of numerous International Societies in the fields of lung disease and Intensive Care Medicine.

During his time in the United States, he authored many articles and text book chapters pertaining to his specialty and was an editor of the acclaimed textbook called the Washington Manual of Critical Care Medicine.

He received numerous distinguished faculty teaching awards during his time at Washington University including the Robert Senior Award for Teaching Physician of the year.

In 2018, he made Aliyah to Israel and has since started working as a pulmonary specialist at Shaarei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

Dr Isakow has extensive experience in the field of Pulmonary Medicine and provides comprehensive and thoughtful care for a wide range of  lung diseases. He is also skilled in performing invasive procedures such as diagnostic bronchoscopy and pleural drainage procedures as well as interpretation of lung imaging and pulmonary function testing. He is fluent in English and Hebrew.

ד"ר איזקוב נולד בדרום אפריקה וסיים את לימודיו בהצטיינות בבית הספר לרפואה של אוניברסיטת ויטווטרסראנד ביוהנסבורג.

הוא התמחה באוניברסיטת וושינגטון בסנט לואיס, מיזורי, ארצות הברית, מוסד בעל שם עולמי בטיפולו בחולים במחלות ריאות.

הוא שירת כרופא ראשי בבית החולים לוותיקי צבא בסנט לואיס במהלך הכשרתו.

לאחר ההתמחות, הוא הצטרף לפקולטה לריאות באוניברסיטת וושינגטון בסנט לואיס ושירת כמנהל יחידת טיפול נמרץ רפואי. בבית החולים היהודי בארנס, שם השיג דרגת פרופסור חבר לרפואה. הוא חבר באגודות בינלאומיות רבות בתחומי מחלות ריאות ורפואת טיפול נמרץ.

במהלך שהותו בארצות הברית, הוא חיבר מאמרים ופרקים רבים בספרי לימוד הנוגעים להתמחותו והיה עורך של ספר הלימוד המהולל בשם "מדריך וושינגטון לרפואת טיפול נמרץ״.

הוא זכה בפרסי הוראה מצטיינים רבים במהלך שהותו באוניברסיטת וושינגטון כולל פרס רוברט סניור לרופא ההוראה של השנה, שלוש פעמים.

בשנת 2018 עלה לישראל ומאז החל לעבוד כמומחה לריאות בבית החולים שערי צדק בירושלים וכן כמומחה בצה"ל.

לד"ר איזקוב ניסיון רב בתחום רפואת הריאות והוא מספק טיפול מקיף, אכפתי ומתחשב למגוון רחב של מחלות ריאה. הוא מיומן גם בביצוע פרוצדורות פולשניות כגון ברונכוסקופיה אבחנתית וניקוז פלאורלי, וכן בפענוח הדמיות ריאה ובדיקות תפקודי ריאה. הוא דובר אנגלית ועברית שוטפת.
